How to Use AI Privacy Protection on the VUEROID S1

Sharing dash cam footage can be useful after an accident or when reporting an incident, but it can also expose personal information such as vehicle license plates and people’s faces.

The VUEROID S1 AI Privacy Protection feature automatically detects and blurs vehicle license plates and faces in your recordings, making it safer to share dash cam footage while helping protect personal privacy.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use AI Privacy Protection through the VUEROID HUB app, how the processing works, and what to expect before sharing your videos.

What Is AI Privacy Protection?

AI Privacy Protection uses cloud-based AI processing to automatically detect and blur sensitive information in your dash cam recordings.

The feature can automatically blur:

• Vehicle license plates
• Drivers’ faces
• Pedestrians’ faces

This allows you to safely share footage while reducing the exposure of personally identifiable information.

The feature is available through the VUEROID HUB app and can be used up to five times per day. The daily usage limit resets automatically at midnight.

Step 1. Turn On Wi-Fi

• Press the Wi-Fi button on your VUEROID S1.
• Wait until you hear the voice prompt: “Wi-Fi is ready.”

Step 2. Connect Using the VUEROID HUB App

• Open the VUEROID HUB app.
• Tap Connect Wi-Fi to connect to your dash cam.
• Once connected, tap Playback.

Step 3. Download the Video

• Download the recording you want to protect.
• After the download is complete, open My Library and select the video.
• Tap AI Privacy Protection.

Step 4. Select the Processing Range

• Choose the section of the timeline where you want AI Privacy Protection to be applied.
• Once you’ve selected the desired portion, tap Trim.
• Only the selected section will be uploaded for AI processing.

Step 5. Choose How You Want to Receive the Result

You can choose one of two options:

Wait

Remain on the current screen until AI processing is complete.
When processing finishes, the protected video will be downloaded automatically.
Tap Confirm to open the processed video.

Notify

If you don’t want to wait, select Notify.
The selected video section will be uploaded to the AI server, and you’ll receive a push notification when processing has finished.
Once you receive the notification, tap Confirm to download the processed video.

Note: Processing time may vary depending on server load, network conditions, and the length of the selected video.

Step 6. View the Protected Video

After downloading, the processed video is automatically saved in My Library.

File Naming

The processed files are saved using the following naming format:

• F/R/I + P + A – Processed video after AI Privacy Protection has been applied.
• F/R/I + P + B – Trimmed video before AI Privacy Protection is applied.

F/R/I indicates the camera that recorded the footage:

• F = Front Camera
• R = Rear Camera
• I = Interior Camera

Review the video to confirm that license plates and faces have been successfully blurred before sharing it.
