FAQ
Q. What is the difference between the Internal and External models of the S1 Infinite?
The S1 Infinite rear camera is available in two versions to suit your specific vehicle and installation needs:
- Internal Model: Designed for installation on the rear windshield of passenger cars and SUVs. Its compact design ensures it doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view.
- External Model: Engineered for trucks, commercial vehicles, or cars with very dark window tints. It features an IP68-rated waterproof and dustproof housing, allowing it to operate reliably in harsh outdoor conditions including rain, snow, and extreme dust.
Q. How is the video quality at night, and will it work through dark window tinting?
The S1 Infinite is equipped with a Sony STARVIS image sensor and HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology. These features work together to minimize noise and capture clear details in low-light environments. The HDR function is particularly effective at suppressing “light blooming” from the headlights of trailing vehicles, ensuring that license plates remain readable even if you have dark window tints.
Q. Is the cable long enough for large SUVs or commercial trucks?
Yes. We provide high-quality digital coaxial cables in various lengths to ensure compatibility with everything from standard sedans to large commercial trucks. Because we use digital coaxial technology, there is zero signal loss or image degradation over long distances, providing a stable, high-definition feed to the main front unit regardless of the vehicle’s size.
