FAQ
Q. What are the benefits of using a CPL filter on my VUEROID dashcam?
A CPL filter is designed to dramatically reduce dashboard glare and windshield reflections that can obstruct your video. It acts like polarized sunglasses for your dashcam, cutting out reflected light and haze. This results in much clearer footage with enhanced color saturation and better visibility of the road and surrounding scenery, especially during bright, sunny days.
Q. How do I install and calibrate the CPL filter for the best results?
Simply snap the CPL filter onto the front camera lens of your VUEROID dashcam. To calibrate it, open the VUEROID mobile app and access the ‘Live View’ screen. While watching the screen, slowly rotate the outer ring of the filter until you see the dashboard reflections on the windshield disappear or reach their minimum. Finding this “sweet spot” ensures the highest possible image clarity.
Q. Should I remove the CPL filter at night or in low-light conditions?
While CPL filters naturally reduce a small amount of light entering the lens, you generally do not need to remove it at night. VUEROID’s advanced HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Night Vision technology are specifically engineered to compensate for lower light levels, maintaining clear and balanced footage. However, if you frequently drive in extremely dark rural areas and prioritize maximum brightness over reflection control, you may choose to adjust your settings or use the filter primarily during the day.
