FAQ
Q1. Can I use a microSD card from another brand?
Yes, you can use a third-party microSD card. However, we recommend using a genuine Vueroid microSD card for stable recording performance and optimal compatibility.
Vueroid SD cards are specifically tested and optimized for continuous recording, high-temperature environments, and repeated write cycles required for dash cam operation.
When using third-party SD cards, issues such as recording errors, storage failures, or card recognition problems may occur, and performance may not be guaranteed.
Q2. What type of microSD card is required?
A. We recommend using a microSD card with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) or higher for stable high-resolution recording and reliable storage.
Especially when using 4K recording and parking mode, high-speed write performance is essential.
Using a lower-spec card may cause recording loss, frame drops, or storage errors.
Q3. How often should I format the microSD card?
With Vueroid’s Format Free File System, frequent formatting is not required.
However, as preventive maintenance and to maintain stable recording performance, we recommend formatting the microSD card once every 1–2 months.
Regular formatting helps prevent file fragmentation, storage errors, and performance degradation.
Q4. Does a microSD card have a limited lifespan?
Yes. Since microSD cards are consumable storage devices with repeated write and erase cycles, they have a limited lifespan depending on usage conditions. Especially under high-resolution recording, long parking mode operation, and high-temperature environments, the card lifespan may be shortened. We recommend regular inspection and replacement when necessary.
